Japanese ambassador visits AQU, discusses bilateral cooperation

President of Al-Quds University (AQU) Professor Imad Abu Kishek received in his office on the main campus the Japanese Ambassador to Palestine, H.E. and his accompanying delegation. Both officials discussed ways to enhance academic and research cooperation, mainly in the health field.

Abu Kishek briefed the Japanese ambassador about the history of AQU’s medical faculties and the services they provide to the Palestinian health sector. He expressed his appreciation to the Japanese government for their role in supporting the health complex over the years by providing it with the necessary equipment.

Mr. Masayuki Magoshi praised the advanced level AQU has reached in the field of medical education, stressing that Japan assigns great importance to the medical sector. He pointed out that their support to the university is demonstrates the depth of friendship between the Palestinian and Japanese peoples.

The Japanese ambassador expressed his support to strengthening cooperation between Al-Quds University and Japanese universities, particularly in the health aspect.

The visit was concluded by a tour of the health complex and its laboratories, including the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Health Professions, and Public Health.

It is worth noting that the Health Complex at Al-Quds University provides distinctive health services to the Palestinian people, besides its academic services. Each year, the health complex at AQU graduates hundreds of highly-skilled male and students.
