Al-Quds University Welcomes Delegation from the Palestinian Student Support Fund (PSSF)

Al-Quds University welcomed a delegation from the Palestinian Student Support Fund (PSSF). During the delegation’s visit, they met with a number of students who annually benefit from the scholarships provided by the fund. The meeting took place in the presence of the Vice President of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Jadoua, Director of the Financial Aid Department, Dr. Safaa Al-Zaher, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mazen Al-Khatib, along with a number of vice presidents and deans of faculties.

This visit aims to strengthen educational support for Palestinian students, especially in light of the economic challenges we are facing.

Prof. Dr. Jadoua welcomed the delegation, praising the pioneering role played by the association in supporting higher education in Palestine. He emphasized that they proved through this visit that they are true partners in the march of science and knowledge, as they showed a sincere commitment to the cause of education and a firm belief in the importance of empowering students. In addition, he extended his profound gratitude for their support of the Palestinian people.

Prof. Dr. Jadoua explained that the financial and moral support provided by the association to students is a real investment in the Palestinian youth, as it carries important social and economic aspects, whether at the level of individuals or society as a whole. Professor Jadoua further emphasized that this investment contributes to enabling students to achieve their academic and professional ambitions.

Mr. Ali Atta, President of the Association, stressed that the Association believes in the importance of investing in human capital through educational support. Emphasizing that this initiative is in alignment with Al-Quds University’s mission, which has proven its scientific and national status. He also expressed the association’s commitment to continue this constructive role and remain an active part of the process of supporting students and strengthening their steadfastness.

Mr. Khalil Khalil, a member of the association, stressed that the objective of providing educational grants is to enable students to build a better future. He further elaborated that the association seeks support to strengthen the steadfastness of Palestinians through education. He also explained that the association is working to expand the scope of this aid  to include a larger number of university students in various disciplines.

The meeting included a discussion between the association members and the scholarship recipients. These conversations elicited numerous inquiries from both parties. The students also expressed their thanks and profound gratitude to the funding organizations that assist them in their educational journey. The visit also included an exhibition of the graduation projects of the Faculty of Engineering students.

The Palestinian Student Support Fund (PSSF) was established with the support of a group of Palestinian businessmen in the US state of Chicago. The PSSF annually provides several scholarships for Palestinians enrolled in various  Palestinian universities.
