The department of Pathology was established since the beginning of the Medical School in 1994. It has an essential part in basic medical education for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year medical, dentistry and pharmacy undergraduate students, where it offers Histology and Pathology courses. These courses are given either as separate subjects or in modules.
Pathology & Histology
The mission of the department of pathology at Al-Quds Medical School is to provide excellent teaching and training to help in improving patient care at the level of Palestine.
To assist students:
- To understand the mechanisms of diseases.
- To recognize and interpret symptoms and signs of diseases.
- To develop differential diagnoses.
- To apply laboratory medicine that allows them to rule in or out individual diagnoses.
