The Department has three divisions: orthopaedics, anesthesia and emergency. This collaboration between the related specialties aims to provide a comprehensive patient care system, a teaching environment for health care professionals at the undergraduate, and a foundation for innovative research in the field of emergency medicine and trauma. It exposes students to various aspects of management of acutely ill patients in an emergency department. It provides students with the opportunity to deal with an undifferentiated patient population.
