The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is part of the Faculty of Medicine. This department has been established in 2003. The teaching staff in the department provides the teaching of the theory part of the curriculum, as well as the practical experimental learning activities. The department provides the teaching of General Biology, General Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Basic Immunology and Clinical Immunology for the Health Science Complex in Al-Quds University, including the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the School of Public Health.
Microbiology and Immunology
The mission of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology is to educate and train students in the disciplines of Microbiology and Immunology and to expand the body of knowledge of these scientific fields through research
– Deliver courses to enhance the intellectual foundation and preparation of students for life in a fast-changing world.
– Offer undergraduate students in the Health Complex the courses they need in Biology, Microbiology and Immunology.
– Enhance opportunities for research and scholarship for undergraduate and graduate master’s students.
– Serve society by promoting scientific research in the area of Microbiology and Immunology.
