Job Announcement – Foreign Language Teachers (German, Turkish, French)

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance foreign language programs and promote students’ linguistic and cultural proficiency, Al-Quds University is seeking to hire qualified teachers of French, German, and Turkish to join its academic team.

Contract Type:
This is a ten-month contractual position, subject to one semester initial probationary period.

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in language education, linguistics, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience teaching the target foreign language to non-native speakers, preferably in a school environment.
• A minimum of one year of continuous residence in a country where the target language is spoken as a native language.
• Strong skills in designing advanced language learning activities and the ability to communicate professionally.
• Proficiency in using digital learning technologies and interactive educational platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaching the target foreign language to university students, with emphasis on the four core skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Contributing to the development of the language curriculum in alignment with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
• Designing diverse assessment tools that measure language proficiency and critical thinking skills.
• Leading and supporting university-based language and cultural activities (language clubs, workshops, cultural days, etc.).
• Collaborating with fellow language teachers to ensure coordinated and integrated instruction.
