Al-Quds University launched its celebrations for the graduation of its 45th cohort—comprising graduates from the classes of 2024, 2025, and 2026—in a grand and festive atmosphere. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Engineer Munib Rashid Al-Masri; the University President, Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishek; members of the Board of Trustees; academic and administrative staff; the graduates’ families and relatives; and a distinguished group of national and community figures.

The first day of celebrations marked the graduation of a distinguished group of students from the Faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Health Professions, and Public Health; the Najad Zeenni Faculty of Engineering; Al-Quds Bard College for Arts and Sciences; and the University’s graduate programs.

The ceremony began with the procession of the graduates’ entrance and was emceed by Dr. Thaer Nassar, who introduced the various segments and official speeches. This was followed by an address by the Chairman of Al-Quds University’s Board of Trustees, Engineer Munib Rashid Al-Masri. He praised the University’s academic and research achievements, emphasizing that it continues to earn local and international awards for innovation and excellence thanks to its administration’s vision and ongoing commitment to developing the educational process and strengthening scientific research, thereby consolidating its standing among higher education institutions.

Al-Masri commended the excellence and competence of Al-Quds University graduates across various disciplines, noting that the Board of Trustees continuously works to support their employment prospects and create new opportunities for them in the labor market. He also congratulated the students and their families on this achievement, wishing the graduates continued success in their academic and professional careers.

This was followed by an address by the University President, Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishek, who emphasized that the graduation of the 45th cohort marks a proud milestone in Al-Quds University’s journey. It reflects the University’s continued commitment to fulfilling its academic and national mission by graduating generations capable of advancing knowledge and serving their communities.

Prof. Dr. Abu Kishek added that Al-Quds University continues to strengthen its standing locally and globally by developing its academic programs, supporting scientific research, fostering international partnerships, and providing an advanced learning environment that keeps pace with global developments, enabling its students to compete across various fields. He emphasized that the graduates are ambassadors of the University and its mission wherever they go.

He went on, “For the sixth consecutive year, Al-Quds University has been ranked first in Palestine. It is the only Palestinian university among the world’s top 1,000 universities and received a five-star rating across all indicators in the 2027 QS World University Rankings. It is also the only Palestinian university among the world’s top 500 in employer reputation. Having risen by more than 260 places in just five years, the University now ranks 908th globally.”

Prof. Dr. Abu Kishek noted that this day was the culmination of the collective efforts of the entire University community, including academics, administrative staff, students, and families. He expressed his pride in the graduates, who represent yet another success story added to Al-Quds University’s distinguished record, and wished them a bright future filled with achievement and meaningful contributions in service of their homeland and community.

Alaa Salah Al-Din, the top-ranking student in the Faculty of Public Health, delivered the graduates’ address. She expressed her and her fellow graduates’ pride in this long-awaited moment following years of hard work and perseverance. She emphasized that Al-Quds University was not merely a place of learning but a home that nurtured their ambitions, shaped their characters, and equipped them with knowledge, values, and a sense of responsibility.

Salah Al-Din said that the graduates leave today carrying not only academic degrees but also a humanitarian and national mission. She affirmed that they would continue their journey with a spirit of belonging and service, remaining loyal to their University and their homeland, Palestine. She also thanked Al-Quds University, its academic and administrative staff, and the graduates’ families, whose support played the greatest role in helping them reach this proud moment.

The University honored its high-achieving students and presented the graduates with their certificates. The ceremony also featured several artistic and patriotic performances, including musical segments that expressed feelings of pride and belonging, during which the students sang “We Shall Remain Here” and “Palestine, My Homeland.”

The ceremony featured segments honoring prominent national and media figures, including the late journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and the poet Mahmoud Darwish. Using digital projection and AI-powered hologram technology, the moving scenes evoked their presence, messages, and humanitarian and national values. Al-Quds University also chose the red anemone as the symbol of the ceremony because of its associations with the land, renewal, and hope.

Al-Quds University concluded its 45th cohort graduation celebrations on the second day by honoring graduates from the Faculties of Science and Technology, Dentistry, Law, Business and Economics, Educational Sciences, Qur’an and Islamic Studies, and Arts. The University celebrated its graduates’ achievements and academic journeys as it bid farewell to another cohort of students.
