Al-Quds University Explores Strengthening Cooperation with Anadolu Medical Center in Medical Training and Clinical Research

Al-Quds University President, Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishek, accompanied by Dr. Omar Abu Zaydeh, Director General of Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem, visited Anadolu Medical Center in Turkey, which is affiliated with the prestigious Johns Hopkins Medicine International, to explore opportunities for cooperation and expand partnerships in the healthcare and medical sectors.

The two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in medical and clinical training, joint medical research, clinical trials, and the exchange of specialized knowledge and experience. They also explored ways to draw on advanced medical expertise in complex surgical procedures to strengthen medical and clinical capabilities and improve the quality of healthcare services.

Prof. Dr. Abu Kishek emphasized the importance of building effective international partnerships with leading medical and research institutions, in line with Al-Quds University’s role in advancing the Palestinian healthcare system and expanding opportunities for its students and faculty to pursue training and specialization and benefit from global expertise.

Prof. Dr. Abu Kishek said, “Through these partnerships, we aim to expand opportunities for Al-Quds University in medical education, scientific research, and clinical training, drawing on advanced international expertise to strengthen the skills of Palestinian medical professionals and support the healthcare sector. We also seek to broaden cooperation in research, clinical trials, and medical subspecialties.”

Al-Makassed Hospital’s participation highlights the value of close collaboration between Jerusalem’s academic and healthcare institutions. It also opens new avenues for cooperation with leading international medical centers to improve healthcare services and medical training in Palestine.

The meeting reflects Al-Quds University’s commitment to expanding its international healthcare partnerships and bringing education and research into closer alignment with clinical practice. These efforts aim to develop specialized Palestinian expertise and strengthen the university’s role in international medical and academic networks.
