Al-Quds University Expands Medical Specialization Opportunities for Its Doctors and Students at Nearly 70 Turkish Hospitals

Al-Quds University President Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishek, accompanied by Dr. Omar Abu Zaydeh, Director General of Al-Makassed Hospital, met with the President of Turkey’s University of Health Sciences to discuss expanding academic and medical cooperation. The meeting resulted in an agreement to offer specialty and subspecialty training to doctors from Al-Quds University and Al-Makassed Hospital at nearly 70 hospitals affiliated with the Turkish university.

The visit included a tour of Kartal Hospital, where the delegation reviewed the training of Al-Quds University medical students under the two universities’ cooperation and academic twinning programs. They emphasized the importance of providing students with an advanced training environment and greater opportunities to gain experience in modern medical practice.

Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishek affirmed that the agreement marks an important step in advancing medical education and training at Al-Quds University, offering students and doctors valuable opportunities to train in advanced clinical settings and benefit from specialized medical expertise. He added that expanding the university’s international partnerships aligns with its vision to strengthen medical education and open new pathways for specialization and training for its medical professionals.

The agreement strengthens cooperation between Al-Quds University and Al-Makassed Hospital and Turkey’s University of Health Sciences and its affiliated hospitals. It opens new opportunities for doctors to pursue specialty and subspecialty training across a wide range of medical fields, helping them develop their professional skills and deepen their clinical expertise.

This step forms part of Al-Quds University’s efforts to expand its international academic and medical partnerships and advance medical education and training. These efforts help prepare qualified healthcare professionals, bring the latest knowledge and expertise to the Palestinian healthcare sector, and improve the quality of medical services and care provided to the community.
