Al-Quds University President Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishek welcomed a delegation from Bahrain’s Royal Humanitarian Foundation, led by its Acting Secretary-General, H.E. Eng. Ibrahim Dalhan Al-Dosari. The visit explored ways to strengthen Bahraini-Palestinian cooperation and partnerships in education, humanitarian work, and development. The meeting was attended by Mr. Munib Rashid Al-Masri, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees and the Jerusalem Empowerment and Development Fund’s Board of Directors; H.E. Dr. Aref Saleh, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Bahrain; Mr. Abdullah Siam, Deputy Governor of Jerusalem; and H.E. Eng. Mazen Sinokrot.
Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishek welcomed the Bahraini delegation, emphasizing the visit’s importance in strengthening ties between Palestinian and Bahraini institutions and supporting efforts to serve Jerusalem’s community, particularly in education, humanitarian work, and sustainable development.
He noted that Al-Quds University views Arab and international partnerships as vital to advancing education and deepening its impact on society. He also praised the Royal Humanitarian Foundation’s role in supporting initiatives and projects that address humanitarian and development needs.
Mr. Munib Rashid Al-Masri, Chair of Al-Quds University’s Board of Trustees and of the Board of Directors of the Jerusalem Empowerment and Development Fund, praised the partnership with Bahrain’s Royal Humanitarian Foundation. He emphasized the importance of building Arab and international partnerships that channel humanitarian efforts into sustainable development projects serving Jerusalem and its people.
While H.E. Eng. Ibrahim Dalhan Al-Dosari, Acting Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, affirmed the importance of cooperation with Al-Quds University and the Jerusalem Empowerment and Development Fund. He highlighted the foundation’s commitment to supporting initiatives that advance education, provide humanitarian assistance, and create a lasting impact on Jerusalem’s community.
H.E. Dr. Aref Saleh, Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain, praised the ongoing cooperation between Bahraini and Palestinian institutions, emphasizing the importance of strengthening partnerships that support education and humanitarian work in Jerusalem.
Mr. Abdullah Siam, Deputy Governor of Jerusalem, also welcomed the visit as an important step toward closer Arab cooperation with Jerusalem’s institutions. He highlighted the need to support the city’s vital sectors, particularly education and social care.
H.E. Eng. Mazen Sinokrot emphasized the importance of directing efforts toward sustainable development projects in Jerusalem to ensure a lasting impact and generate resources to serve the city’s residents, particularly those most in need.
The visit builds on ongoing cooperation between Bahrain’s Royal Humanitarian Foundation and the Jerusalem Empowerment and Development Fund. This partnership was strengthened during meetings held in Istanbul in June 2026 as part of the second international workshop, “Development Investment in Jerusalem: International Partnerships for Impact and Sustainability.”
The visit marked the launch of the “Bahrain Endowment Building to Support Education and Orphan Care in Jerusalem,” alongside a symbolic foundation stone ceremony on Al-Quds University’s campus. The initiative marks a step forward in the partnership, translating cooperation into sustainable development projects that serve Jerusalem’s community.
