Al-Quds University and the International Group of Brazilian Universities GCUB discuss ways of joint cooperation

Al-Quds University received a delegation from the International Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) to discuss ways for cooperation in the academic and research fields.

Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Moatasem Hamdan welcomed the delegation and provided them with an overview of the university’s history, faculties, programs, along with its various international partnerships in the field of student exchange with prestigious universities around the world.

Dr. Hanna Abdel Nour, the Vice President for Planning and Development, elaborated on the distinguished partnerships the university has built internationally, citing the faculties of Dual Studies and Al-Quds Bard. He also pointed to the possibility of holding virtual lectures and courses with partner universities.

Vice President Prof. Imad Al-Khatib referred to the programs offered by the university on its Beit Hanina campus, its various locations in the Old City, as well as the social, legal, and educational services it provides to the Jerusalemite community.

For his part, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Hussein Jaddu, indicated that the university seeks to modernize its educational system to become innovative and better meet the needs of the market and society as a whole.

The Executive Director of the International Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB), Professor Rossana de Souza e Silva, expressed her appreciation of Al-Quds University for the important opportunity that it offers by opening the door for cooperation with GCUB. She provided an overview about GCUB’s research and academic cooperation relations, expressing the importance of this meeting to adopt a common vision for working together.

The two parties discussed launching academic cooperation in the engineering and digital fields, in partnership with distinguished universities, as well as the possibility of holding virtual lectures and academic programs.

This meeting comes within Al-Quds University’s strategy of expanding its network of academic and research relations locally and internationally to hone the students’ skills and better train them to serve the society and become more creative.
