The Community Action Center (CAC) at Al-Quds University, in cooperation with Jabal Al-Mukabber Club, has inaugurated a new legal clinic at the club’s premises as part of the Center’s ongoing Legal Clinic Project.

The newly established clinic aims to provide legal consultations and services to residents of the area, particularly in matters related to the National Insurance Institute and Ministry of Interior cases. The clinic also offers affidavit drafting and sworn declaration services.

A specialized and licensed attorney from the Center will be present at the clinic to receive beneficiaries every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In addition to the Jabal Al-Mukabber clinic, the Community Action Center operates several legal clinics across Jerusalem, including its main office in the Old City, as well as in Kufr Aqab, Shuafat Refugee Camp, and Al-Issawiya.

It is worth noting that the Community Action Center is one of Al-Quds University’s centers in Jerusalem. Established in 1999, the Center is dedicated to serving the Jerusalemite community through a community-based, rights-oriented approach grounded in the principles of human rights, justice, and equality.

The Center provides its services free of charge through its legal clinics, addressing a wide range of rights-based issues affecting Jerusalemites, including residency rights, child registration, and family reunification. It also handles social security matters such as health insurance benefits, child allowances, widows’ benefits, old-age pensions, disability benefits, and related services, in addition to drafting sworn affidavits.
