Recruitment of Center Coordinator

Center for Cleaner Production (CCP)
Al-Quds University, Jerusalem

Position Title: Center Coordinator, Center for Cleaner Production (CCP)

Reporting Line: Reports to the Chairman of the CCP Steering Council, comprising key national industrial development stakeholders.

Job Purpose

The Center Coordinator will assist in operating the CCP in advancing sustainable industrial development through:

  • Coordinating professional trainings in clean technology, resource efficiency, and sustainable industrial practices.
  • Coordinating technical services for industry, including energy and environmental assessments, decarbonization strategies, and compliance with national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute CCP’s strategic, goal aligned vision.
  • Coordinate operations to ensure the efficient delivery of programs.
  • Design and implement training programs of the CCP.
  • Represent the CCP as needed, and cultivate strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure that services align with environmental regulations and international certification standards.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Assist and prepare technical, financial, and sustainability reporting, ensuring compliance with CCP programs and University regulations and SOPs.
  • Coordinate with the Chairman of the Steering Council to align CCP activities with industrial priorities and policy developments.
  • Coordinate and maintain partnerships with industry, academia, and international organizations (e.g., EU agencies, GIZ, UNEP, UNDP, UNIDO).
  • Coordinate between CCP and the University in promoting applied research in cleaner production, circular economy, and low-carbon industrial processes, including PtX.
  • Cooperate closely with the Business Center of Innovation and Technology and Entrepreneurship (BCITE) in Jerusalem on matters of mutual interest.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. Some experience in the field is a plus.

Contract Terms

  • Duration: Initial one-year, renewable based on performance; inclusive of a 3 month probation period.
  • Remuneration: Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
  • Benefits: As per Al-Quds University policy.
