The Language Center at Al-Quds University, in collaboration with Amra Education and Amideast, organized its ninth semesterly workshop for teaching staff. This semester’s workshop, titled “Teaching with English Discoveries: Connect, Track, and Grow,” was held at the Yildiz Palace Hotel in Nablus.

The director of the Language Center, Mr. Hani Abdo, emphasized that the continued holding of these regular semesterly workshops reflects the university’s and the center’s commitment to the ongoing development of academic competencies, the improvement of English teaching methods, and keeping pace with technological and educational advancements.

The workshop program included a session dedicated to the Language Center, presented by Mr. Hani Abdo, during which the center’s organizational, academic, and administrative aspects were examined and discussed, and comprehensive preparations for the start of the upcoming semester were reviewed to ensure the educational process runs with high efficiency.

The workshop also featured a review of the progress and evaluation of the experiences of the “English Discoveries” program to identify key achievements and challenges. Mr. Radi Wanni and Ms. Tamara Qarada led a series of interactive and practical sessions covering:

Effective Communication: How to make the most of the Notification Center on the English Discoveries platform to facilitate follow-up and communication with students.

Measuring and Tracking Progress: Mechanisms for transforming task completion tracking into a meaningful and valuable learning experience for students.

Artificial Intelligence in Education: Highlighting the new AI-Powered features on the “English Discoveries” platform and how to leverage them to support English language teachers.

The workshop concluded with a wrap-up session that addressed the key recommendations and future plans, reaffirming the spirit of cooperation and teamwork between the university and its partner institutions.
