Nouran Darras, a graduate of Al-Quds Bard College majoring in Genetics and Molecular Biology, was honored during the 11th Annual Doctoral Student Achievement Celebration at Indiana University School of Medicine. The event recognizes PhD students who have reached a significant milestone in their academic training and advanced to the candidacy stage of their research careers.

Darras graduated from Al-Quds Bard College in 2024 and subsequently moved to the state of Indiana, USA, after receiving a merit-based scholarship to pursue her PhD in Biomedical Sciences.

Her current research focuses on Translational Cancer Biology (TCB), a specialized track within the PhD program in Biomedical Sciences. This field bridges basic cancer research discoveries with clinical applications, contributing to a better understanding of cancer diseases as well as the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
