Al-Quds University Maintains the First Position in Palestine and 52nd Position in the Arab Region According to the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2026

Al-Quds University has maintained its 52nd position in the Arab region for the second consecutive year and ranked first in Palestine in the QS World University Rankings: Arab Region 2026, according to the results officially released by QS World University Rankings.

The university has advanced in all ranking criteria, maintaining its position among the top universities in the Arab world despite the regional competition among higher education institutions.

According to the QS 2026 results, Al-Quds University achieved outstanding performance across various indicators, most notably a digital impact score of 95.8%, a citations per paper score of 86.2%, and an employer reputation score of 61.6%.

The university administration commented on this achievement, “This outstanding performance reflects Al-Quds University’s continuous efforts to enhance the quality of education and scientific research, expand its professional and international academic partnerships, and maintain its commitment to developing its academic staff and fostering an advanced educational and research environment that aligns with global standards in higher education.”

The QS Ranking is regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious academic rankings, assessing universities’ performance through a rigorous scientific methodology that encompasses a range of academic, research, and educational indicators. These include academic reputation (30%), employer reputation (20%), faculty-to-student ratio (15%), proportion of faculty members holding a PhD (5%), citations per research paper (5%), research papers per faculty member (5%), digital or web impact (5%), international research network (10%), and international diversity of both faculty and students (5%—2.5% each).

Al-Quds University is one of the leading Palestinian and Arab universities that has continued its steady advancement in regional and global rankings, affirming its strong academic and research presence on both the Arab and international stages.
