Al-Quds Bard College’s student, Bisan Abed Al-Hakeem Safi, won the second place award at the 13th Palestinian International Medical Laboratories Conference for the year 2025. Upon her receival of this award, Bisan reflected the distinguished academic achievements that Al-Quds University’s students (AQU) could achieve. Her research came under the title: NGS-Based Screening and Genotyping of Oral HPV in Healthy Palestinian Dental Patients; which was supervised by Dr. Abdel-Majid Nasereddin, who teaches in the Natural Science Division and AQU Faculty of Medicine.
The award was presented on behalf of the Palestinian Association of Medical Laboratories by Dr. Rania Abu Seer, The Dean of Medical Professions at AQU, and Dr. Osama Najjar, the President of the Palestinian Association of Medical Laboratories.
