Bachelor’s Degree in Qur’an and Islamic Studies
Providing a number of specialists in the (Science of Qira’at) and (Science of Tafsir) to meet the needs of the local community and preparing a generation of graduates on sound scientific and educational foundations. Working to spread religious awareness and Islamic culture by clarifying the correct concepts of religion. Working to promote Islamic values and ethics among members of the Palestinian society.

Providing scientific Sharia competencies to meet the community’s need for preachers, teachers, mosque imams, and memorizers in Quran memorization centers. Working to spread the Science of Qira’at and encouraging the memorization of the Book of Allah. Granting students numerous cognitive, intellectual, and professional skills; these skills include, but are not limited to, Islamic education teaching methods and training the student to address the public through various means, including the sermon, symposium, lesson, and exhortation, and training in the recitation and Tajweed of the Holy Quran.
For admission to the college, it is required that the student passes the General Secondary Education Certificate and obtains a minimum average of 65%.
Graduates can work in the field of teaching in education and private schools, as well as in the Ministry of Awqaf in the field of Imamate, preaching, public speaking, and supervising Quran memorization centers and recitation and Tajweed circles, as well as centers interested in Quranic studies. The graduate can also work in the Sharia judiciary and Ifta, in addition to the possibility of the student completing their postgraduate studies, which opens the field for working in university teaching.

Sciences of the Qur’an (1) (0901114) Cr. Hrs. (3) This course includes the definition of the Holy Qur’an and the uncovering of all aspects related to it in terms of revelation, its history, causes, modes, place, and time. It also covers its writing, inimitability (I’jaz), the clear (Muhkam) and the ambiguous (Mutashabih), the abrogating (Nasikh) and the abrogated (Mansukh), its preservation from alteration and distortion, and the refutation of misconceptions regarding it.
Sciences of Hadith (0901115) Cr. Hrs. (3) This course deals with the emergence of the sciences of Hadith and provides a general definition of them. It discusses the merits of Hadith and provides an introduction to the books of Hadith, the books of narrators (Rijal), and the science of disparagement and empowerment (Al-Jarh wa al-Ta’dil). It includes the study of topics in Hadith sciences, the chain of narrators (Sanad and Isnad), the types of Hadith, the types of narration, and the methods of its transmission (Tahammul).
Creed (Aqidah) (0901116) Cr. Hrs. (3) This course includes the concept of creed, its components, characteristics, and importance. It covers belief in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers, with a focus on prophecies, the miracles of the messengers, and their infallibility (Ismah), as well as the impact of creed on the life of the believer.
Jurisprudence of Acts of Worship (1) (0901117) Cr. Hrs. (3) This course studies the rulings of purification and prayer as follows: Purification: Waters, ablution (Wudu), ritual bath (Ghusl), dry ablution (Tayammum), wiping over the socks (Al-Mash ‘ala al-Khuffayn), impurities, and menstruation. Prayer: Its ruling, wisdom, timings, the call to prayer (Adhan), conditions of prayer, its description, making up missed prayers, rulings of congregational prayer, the prostration of forgetfulness (Sujud al-Sahw), the traveler’s prayer, the prostration of recitation (Sujud al-Tilawah), Friday prayer, the two Eid prayers, the eclipse prayer, the prayer for rain (Istisqa), the fear prayer, the prayer of the sick, the funeral prayer, and the rulings of the martyr.
Grammar (A) (0901119) Cr. Hrs. (3) Basic grammar topics are studied, such as the indeclinable (Mabni) and declinable (Mu’rab), the subject and predicate (Mubtada and Khabar), and “Kana” and its sisters. It aims to consolidate the fundamental principles of grammar to benefit from them in understanding the Holy Qur’an and in writing and speaking skills.
History of Islamic Legislation (0900252) Cr. Hrs. (3) This course discusses the meaning of Islamic legislation and the relationship between jurisprudence (Fiqh) and Sharia. It covers the meaning of Islamic jurisprudence while studying its sources and the stages it passed through since the time of the Prophet (PBUH), through the time of the Companions and the Successors (Tabi’un), and the emergence of the schools of opinion (Ra’y) and Hadith in jurisprudence. It includes the study of the history of the four schools of jurisprudence (Madhhabs), their most important sources and scholars, the most prominent features of jurisprudence in the contemporary era, and the study of the major universal legal maxims (Al-Qawa’id al-Fiqhiyyah) by explaining them and providing examples, alongside an introduction to the principles of jurisprudence (Usul) and jurisprudential theories.
Recitation and Tajweed (1) (0901109) Cr. Hrs. (1) This course includes an introduction to the status of the Holy Qur’an and the merit of its recitation, followed by rulings such as: the rulings of the noon sakinah and tanween, the meem sakinah, and the types of madd (prolongation). It includes the practical application of these rulings through the recitation of 10 parts (Juz’) of the Holy Qur’an while observing and mastering these rulings.
Recitation and Tajweed (2) (0901110) Cr. Hrs. (1) This course includes topics related to velarization (Tafkhim) and attenuation (Tarqiq), the types of stopping (Waqf) on the ends of words, types of stopping and silence (Sakt), the severed and the joined (Al-Maqtu’ wa al-Mawsul), the feminine “ha” (Ta Marbuta), the connecting hamzah (Hamzat al-Wasl), the interrogative hamzah, and the cutting hamzah (Hamzat al-Qat’). This is in addition to observing and applying the rulings taken in the Recitation and Tajweed (1) course, with practical application through the recitation of 10 parts of the Holy Qur’an.
Recitation and Tajweed (3) (0901209) Cr. Hrs. (1) This includes the explanation of Tajweed topics related to the rulings of the points of articulation of letters (Makharij al-Huruf), the titles of the letters and their attributes, as well as the identical (Mutamathilayn), the convergent (Mutaqaribayn), the homogeneous (Mutajanisayn), and the divergent (Mutaba’idayn) in terms of definition, divisions, and rulings. This is in addition to observing and applying the rulings taken in Recitation and Tajweed (1) and (2), with practical application through the recitation of 10 parts of the Holy Qur’an.
