Research interests

  1. Efficiency of membrane technology, activated charcoal, and clay micelle complex for removal of pharmaceuticals and pesticides.
  2. Chemical characterization of natural products (Polyphenols, flavonoids,  alkaloids, essential oils,..etc) from Palestinian  Flora.
  3. Trans fatty acids (TFAs) in fats, oils, and processed foods
  • Analysis by chromatographic methods.
  •  Factors affecting formation of TFAs.
  1. Pharmaceutical analysis.
  2. Method development and validation by HPLC.
  3. Analysis of impurities in pharmaceuticals.
  4. Environmental analysis; Analysis of pesticides and pharmaceutical residues in different environmental matrices (water, soil, fruits, vegetables…etc).
  5. Preparation of new monolithic/polymeric stationary phases used for Capillary Electrochromatography (CEC) and µ-Liquid Chromatography (µ-LC)
