Dr. Najjar Holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). He is an assistant professor at the Computer Science and Information Technology Department. He is the coordinator of the CS Master Program and supervises master thesis work in the fields of Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Learning Analytics and Technologies.

Dr. Najjar serves work package leader in several EU projects (eContentPlus, FP7, Tempus and Life Long Learning) around learning technologies and its applications, outcome-based learning, metadata and information systems evaluation. He is an EU expert in the implementation of several European standards in the EU CEN Learning Technologies Working Group. He worked as consultant for large industrial firms in Europe, like Sogeti, AXA and BNP Paribas Fortis on software evaluation/testing and relevant evaluation strategies and planning.
