Master in Physiotherapy (MPT) Program

The Master Program in Physiotherapy (MPT) has been established at the faculty of Health Professions/Al-Quds University in 2018. The program is the first master in Physiotherapy in Palestine and it is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education. The duration of the MPT is two academic years of full time study, consisting of 36 credits with one major specialty “Master in Physiotherapy”. The student will be able to tailor his/her study plan in a specific area of specialty including cardiopulmonary, orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics and geriatrics. Three study tracks are feasible for MPT students: thesis, action research and comprehensive track. The MPT curriculum is built on the concepts of clinical reasoning and evidence based practice in physiotherapy; it includes theoretical, clinical and research oriented courses that cover wide scope of physiotherapy theory and practice. The MPT program contributes to open prospects for the development of professional excellence and scientific health research in Palestine, which will positively reflect on improving both academic and professional dimensions of physiotherapy in Palestine.
