AQU President visits a number of countries to enhance cooperation and support Jerusalem

The President of Al-Quds University, Prof. Imad Abu Kishek, met the former Malaysian Prime Minister HE Mahathir Mohammad, during a recent visit to Malaysia.

The university president expressed his appreciation to Mr. Mohammad for his continuous support to Jerusalem at all levels. Abu Kishek also presented in this meeting a brief overview on the academic, cultural, and social role that is played by Al-Quds University, highlighting the strategic plans to achieve internationalization in the academic and research areas.

During the visit, Abu Kishek signed an agreement with the Malaysian Official Telecom Company to provide research and pioneering job opportunities to the university students and professors within the framework of the mobility program and linking the university’s researches to the needs of the Malaysian. In his presented lecture to the MMU staff, Abu Kishek talked about Al-Quds University’s experience in linking the outcomes of the academic process to the needs of the market by encouraging the students to engage in entrepreneurial research projects.

During the present tour, Abu Kishek also visited Kuwait within a delegation from Al-Quds Fund and Endowment that is headed by His Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal, and also included His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and the Chairman of the Board Mr. Munib Al-Masri.

The delegation discussed with the Director of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development in Kuwait, Mr. Badr Sa’d, ways to support “Al-Quds Empowerment Fund” which was established by Al-Quds Endowment Fund in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank.

The delegation also met with the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, and presented to His Excellency the founding document of the “Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Endowment”.
