I cordially welcome you to the website of the Materials Engineering Department. Materials Engineering Department at Al-Quds University is the only and unique department of its kind in Palestine. It was established in 2005 to provide the local community with professional engineers who can develop the local industries. The number of students in the department is 135 students; the department has a total number of 6 full- time teaching staff.

The B.Sc. degree in Materials Engineering is awarded upon completing a total of 168 credit hours. The degree covers courses in metals, alloys, ceramics, polymers, composites, biomaterials, electronic materials, nanotechnology, management, quality assurance as well as various basic science and engineering courses.

The educational objectives of the Materials Engineering program are to produce graduates who:

  • Are problem-solvers and innovators, having a solid foundation in Materials Engineering.
  • Function effectively in a professional environment, having the necessary communication and leadership skills.
  • Can pursue research and advanced studies in on advance areas and engage in graduate studies.
  • Can integrate professional responsibilities and ethical codes in their professional careers.
  • Can identify contemporary issues in Materials Engineering.
