The Faculty of Science and Technology was established in 1979 in Jerusalem. It is one of the oldest faculties of Al-Quds University. Its mission, is to participate in the development of the Palestinian society, improving the quality of human life by promoting and enhancing critical thinking, creativity, knowledge, understanding, quality education and research in various fields of science and technology.

As an integral part of the educational system in Palestine and a leading institute of innovation in science and technology, the faculty aims at developing this system into a national system for Innovation, which will interact with the international system of innovation and, therefore contributes to the global production of knowledge. Since the establishment of the faculty of Science and Technology, it has been expanding and growing in terms of its services through eight separate Departments offering undergraduate programs in Computer Sciences, Physics, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Information Technology and Food Technology. In addition the Faculty offers five graduate programs leading to M.Sc. Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Environmental Studies, Applied & Industrial Technology and Computer Sciences. These programs are designed to achieve certain objectives, meet specific standard of excellence and are distinguished by being dynamic and adaptable to future changes.

They  provide highly relevant courses in science and technology capable of preparing students for good careers by making them responsible persons with a positive attitude toward life and with an open  mind toward one another.  All members of the faculty are active in both teaching and research.

The faculty is equipped with modern labs and research facilities in various science and technology disciplines. We believe that a modern University needs wide range of communication and cooperation with local, national and international educational and research institutions and needs to develop cooperative relations with community, industry and  private sector.

As Dean of the faculty of Science & Technology I’m committed  to excellence in teaching and providing friendly environment for students and staff empowerment.
