1. GM1 Gangliosidosis manifesting with neonatal-onset of diffuse ecchymosis and Mongolian spots. I am the corresponding author of this clinical report which describes dermal melanocytosis or skin pigmentation as an early findings of GM1 Gangliosidosis and other lysosomal storage diseases. It is accepted for publication in The Indian Journal of Dermatology on January-February issue, 2011
2. Propionic acidemia mimicking diabetic ketoacidosis. I am the corresponding author of this clinical report which describes the rare presentation of Propionic acidemia with severe hyperglycemia and ketoacidosis. It is published in the Brain & Development Journal on 2010 Jul 13. [Epub ahead of print].
3. Combined treatment with oral metronidazole and N-acetylcysteine is effective in ethylmalonic encephalopathy. I am one of the co-authors of this article which describes the clinical response of four patients to the combined treatment in terms of improvement in neurologic status, skin and Gastroenterologic manifestations. It is published online in Nature Medicine on July, 25 2010.
4. Tricho-Hepato-Enteric Syndrome; Report of a case of Intractable Diarrhea, Dysmorphic features, Hemochromatosis and Hair Anomaly. I am the Corresponding author of this clinical report which describes syndromic iron storage disease. It was published in the American Journal of Medical Genetics (Am J Med Genet A. 2007 Mar 15;143(6):581-3.
5. Glycogen storage disease type III; Report of 24 cases. This work was presented by me at the Fifth Scientific Conference organized by Al-Quds university which was held at Jericho on April 30th-May 1st 2009. This work was also presented by me at the 17th Conference of the Union of Arab Pediatricians in Amman, Jordan on May2009.
