Faculty of Engineering

General Requirements

Applicants for admission to the Faculty of Engineering must have completed the scientific stream of the General Secondary Certificate (Tawjihi) or its equivalent with an academic average of at least 80%. However, acceptance is subject to the number of seats available for the academic year.  Students already enrolled at Al-Quds University or others can apply for a transfer. They will be accepted according to their academic achievements in their original programs and to the number of seats available. The General Secondary Certificate (Tawjihi) results might also be taken into consideration for transfer students.

All students who wish to enter either the Electronic Engineering specialization or the Computer Engineering specialization must have attained in their first year of study an accumulative average of 75% in the following two courses: General Physics I and General Physics II.  They must also have attained an accumulative average of 75% in Calculus I and Calculus II.  Those who wish to specialize in Computer Engineering must have attained an accumulative average of 70% in an additional two courses: Introduction to Computing and Programming Fundamentals for Engineers.

Academic regulations state that Faculty requirements may comprise

  • Compulsory courses studied by all the students of the Faculty; or
  • Courses selected by the students from courses specified by the Faculty; or
  • A combination of compulsory and elective courses.
