Academic Council
The Academic Council is the highest Academic authority. Its main function consists in developing and revising the University academic programs, rules, regulations, and policies.
Membership

Vice-President for Academic Affairs (Chair).

Vice-President for Planning and Development.

Deans of faculties.
-
Dean of Admission and Registration.

Two faculty members ( with the rank of assistant professor or higher) elected from each faculty.

Representative from the Student Conciliate.
Functions
- Set and review university academic policies and programs.
- Change and revise academic programs and courses.
- Recommend the opening of new faculties and expanding existing ones.
- Coordinate between all the faculties and departments in order to enhance interdepartmental cooperation.
- Review the Chair's annual report before forwarding it to the university President.
- Approve graduating students by ensuring the completion of all -graduation requirements.
- Supervise the work of the Graduate Studies Council.
